For nearly 29 years, Habitat for Humanity of Mason County has been building strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable housing—reinvesting $2.6M locally, serving 411 homes, completing 372 preservation projects, and mobilizing 78,000+ volunteer hours.

Today, we need our community’s help.

We are experiencing a temporary cash-flow gap due to the timing of home sales in a challenging housing market. While we are financially sound and asset-rich, this short-term delay puts nearly 20 local jobs and ongoing projects at risk until a home sale closes in mid-February.

​

This is a short-term challenge, not a long-term one, and with the continued support of our community, we are confident we can move through it together. While this temporary situation may require the difficult step of laying off staff for a short term, our mission and presence in Mason County remain strong.

Habitat for Humanity of Mason County is not closing. We will continue operating as a volunteer affiliate, and our stores and services are here to stay. We remain open, committed, and grateful for the community that makes our work possible.
